So, what is the correct way to use high viscosity pumps?

1. The choice of conveying medium

The high viscosity pump needs to determine the medium to be conveyed, not that all mediums can be conveyed, to strictly follow the provisions of the product manual to choose, it is best to use the fluid medium recommended by the manufacturer.

2. Operating temperature range

It is also important to keep the high viscosity lobe pump within a reasonable operating temperature range, if you want to be able to use it in a wider temperature range, you should pay attention to the viscosity index of the conveyed medium. If you want to use it in a wide range of temperatures, you have to pay attention to the viscosity index of the transported medium. When the viscosity of the transported medium is high or the ambient temperature is low, you have to make sure that the transported medium can flow more smoothly.

In many oils, there are waxy components that can easily crystallize at low temperatures, and the freezing point of the conveyed medium must be lower than the expected minimum operating temperature, which is something we need to pay special attention to when operating.

If the high viscosity lobe pump needs to work under high pressure, the pressure level should be specified to be 1 to 2 pressure levels lower than the original pressure. This is because the equipment generally works 24 hours a day, so if the pressure is too high, it will be operating under overload.
