How to adjust the mechanical seal of the lobe pump

lobe pump is a volumetric pump whose impeller is shaped as a combination of several evenly distributed tooth lobes. The mechanical energy of the prime mover is directly transformed into the pressure energy of the conveyed liquid through the pump. The flow rate of the pump depends on the change value of the working chamber volume and its change frequency in unit time, and (theoretically) is independent of the discharge pressure. lobe pump mechanical seal replacement and adjustment method 1. remove each cover nut on the rotor chamber cover, remove the rotor chamber cover. 2. use a copper or nylon rod stuck between the two rotors, use a wrench to remove the two rotor fixing nuts. Note: the normal factory configuration of the equipment active shaft fixing nuts for clockwise relaxation, driven shaft fixing nuts for counterclockwise relaxation. 3. pull out the two rotors by hand. (If you cannot pull out the rotor by hand, please follow step 4) 4. Remove the two fixing nuts of the rotor chamber and hammer the back sides of the rotor chamber with a brass rod until the rotor chamber can be removed by hand. (If the rotor is not taken off when operating step 3, the rotor will be taken out with the rotor chamber at this time.) Note: At this time, you can see the adjustment thin shim at the shoulder of the two drive shafts, please do not take it off easily, if you need to take it off, please remember the number of adjustment thin shim at this position, so that the original position and number can be installed when assembling again. 5.lobe pump will be complete with O-ring, static ring, and Wave spring corresponding with 3 pins to the rotor chamber. 6. Put the complete dynamic ring combination on the shaft from the shaft end. If you use the new dynamic ring combination, you need to rotate the two screws on the dynamic ring set in the position of the second plane on the shaft, but do not tightly nailed to the shaft, so that the dynamic ring set on the shaft can rotate about 5, remember not to make the dynamic ring set 360 rotation. Then drop a small amount of paint or grease in the screw hole to prevent the screw from falling off when the equipment is working. 7. (There are two cone pins to locate the rotor chamber and transmission box assembly position). Insert the iron bar into the 2 locating pin holes and hammer the 2 locating pins respectively to make the rotor chamber position in the original factory position, and lock the 2 rotor chamber fixing nuts with force back and forth respectively. Note: After assembling the rotor chamber, if the adjustment thin pads have been removed when disassembling the rotor chamber, please install the thin pads in the original position and in the original quantity at this time. 8. Install the rotor inside the rotor chamber, use a copper bar or wooden block to pad between the two rotors, and use a wrench to fix the two rotor nuts. Note: ①, the rotor, rotor fixing nut and drive shaft in the factory has been well numbered, assembly, please install the same number of parts together, and in this step after the completion of the respective number can be seen. ②, the normal factory configuration of the equipment on the fixed nut for counterclockwise tightening, the lower fixed nut for clockwise tightening. 9. using a wrench to rotate the rotor fixed nut in the locking direction for a week, test the rotor and rotor, rotor and the rotor chamber of the inner cavity around and bottom plane clearance should be roughly consistent, no touching. 10. with a flat ruler on the end of the rotor chamber at different locations, test the clearance between the rotor and the flat ruler and the clearance measured in step 9 should be roughly the same. 11.lobe pump Assemble the rotor chamber cover on the rotor chamber, and make sure there are 2 right-angle edges around the cover flush with the rotor chamber, and lock each cap nut.
