It is necessary to learn to replace the mechanical seal reasonably and correctly to extend the service life of the lobe pump as much as possible. When replacing the mechanical seal, the power supply of the lobe pump must be disconnected. Prevent injuries from occurring during seal replacement due to accidental start-up. The specific steps are as follows: 1 Remove each cover nut on the rotor chamber cover and remove the rotor chamber cover. 2 Use a copper rod or wooden block to pad between the two rotors and use a wrench to remove the two rotor fixing nuts. (Note: the direction of rotation of the shaft can be used to determine the direction of loosening of the fixing nuts, i.e. the direction of loosening of the fixing nuts is the same as the direction of rotation of the shaft.) 3 Pull out the two rotors by hand. (If you cannot pull out the rotor by hand, please follow step 4) 4 Remove the two fixing nuts of the rotor chamber and hammer the back sides of the rotor chamber with a brass rod until the rotor chamber can be removed by hand. (If the rotor is not removed in step 3, the rotor will be removed together with the rotor chamber.) Note: At this time, you may see thin adjustment shims at the shoulders of the two drive shafts, please record the position and number of thin adjustment shims at the shafts when you remove them, so that they can be installed in the original position and number when reassembling. 5 Remove the static and dynamic rings that need to be replaced. 6 Installation of the static ring: align the intact static ring with the three pins on the rotor chamber and press it into the rotor chamber with even pressure by hand. Press it evenly into the installation hole of the rotor chamber by hand until the O-ring on the static ring also enters the installation hole.7 Installation of the moving ring: push the intact moving ring into the drive shaft end until the bottom of the moving ring is in contact with the shaft shoulder. The position of the two screws on the moving ring should be consistent with the position of the two planes on the shaft. Gently screw into the two screws on the moving ring until you feel the bottom of the screw contact with the shaft plane, then screw loose 1 to 2 screw teeth, so that the moving ring on the shaft can rotate about 5, remember not to make the moving ring can rotate 360 on the shaft. Then put a small amount of paint or grease in the screw hole, lobe pump to prevent the screw from falling off when the equipment is running.8 Carefully place the rotor chamber with the static ring along the drive shaft and insert the two conical pins on the rotor chamber into the two pin holes on the drive box, screw in the rotor chamber retaining nut, and insert the iron bar into the two locating pin holes on the rotor chamber and hammer the two locating pins respectively until the locating pins are in place. The rotor chamber fixing nut should be locked at this time to make the rotor chamber position consistent with the original factory position.9 Install the original thin shims as originally recorded on the drive shaft.10 Install the rotor into the rotor chamber, use a copper rod or wooden block to pad between the two rotors, and lock the rotor fixing nut. Note: ①The rotor, rotor fixing nut and drive shaft are numbered at the factory, so please install the parts with the same number together during assembly, and you can see the respective numbers after this step is completed. ②The direction of rotation of the shaft can be used to determine the direction of tightening of the fixed nut, that is, the direction of tightening of the fixed nut is opposite to the direction of rotation of the shaft.11 hand disk lobe pump coupling, rotate along the lobe pump steering sign for a week, test the rotor and rotor, rotor and rotor chamber clearance around the inner cavity and the bottom plane should be roughly consistent, no touching phenomenon.12 with a flat ruler on the outer plane of the rotor chamber at different locations The clearance between the rotor and the ruler should be roughly the same as that measured in step 11, and there should be no rubbing. 13 Assemble the rotor chamber cover on the rotor chamber, and ensure that the upper plane of the cover is basically flush with the upper plane of the rotor chamber, and lock each cap nut. 14 Hand-drive the coupling of the lobe pump, and feel whether the lobe pump has any rubbing phenomenon during the rotation, if there is no rubbing phenomenon, it indicates that the assembly is completed. 15lobe pump Install the coupling housing, turn on the power, start the lobe pump, make sure there is sufficient liquid in the pipeline, observe whether there is leakage of the mechanical seal, if there is no leakage, it means the mechanical seal has been replaced.
