Some operations are essential in the use and maintenance of lobe pumps, so what matters need attention in the operation for stopping the pump? Today Ace pump industry's will talk with you.
(1) Disconnect the interlock switch, open the recirculation valve, start the auxiliary oil pump, and then press the pump stop button. For variable speed pumps or dynamic lobe regulated axial (mixed) flow pumps, reduce the speed or close the dynamic lobe to the minimum flow state before stopping the pump, for axial (mixed) flow pumps with self supplied cooling water, switch the cooling water source as required.
(2) After disconnecting the power supply, pay attention to and stimulate the rotor idle away, if the idle away time is too short, it is necessary to check the pump, shaft seal, bearings and other places have no friction and jamming.
(3) For pumps that need to be put on standby, the interlock switch needs to be put into the standby position to put in the auxiliary oil pump or to keep the lube oil system working, the inlet and outlet valves are kept open (by a check valve to stop the backflow of water) and the flow of sealed cooling water is maintained. In the case of feed pumps, the warming pump system must also be put in.
(4) For pumps that have been out of use or overhauled for a long period of time, the power and water supply should be cut off, the water in the pump should be drained, and a sign should be hung.
These are the things you need to pay attention to when stopping the lobe pump, I hope you can help when using the pump!
