Installation considerations for pump mechanical seals.

2、After the pump seal moving ring is installed, it should be kept flexible to move, and it should be able to spring back automatically after pressing the moving ring to the spring.

3、First put the static ring seal on the back of the static ring, and then put it into the seal end cap. Pay attention to protect the static ring section of the machine seal, ensure that the static ring section is perpendicular to the centre line of the end cap, and align the anti-rotation groove on the back of the static ring with the anti-rotation pin, but do not make contact with each other.

4、During the installation of the machine seal, it is forbidden to hit the sealing element directly with a tool, you must use a special tool to hit it to avoid damaging the sealing element.

5. Apply soapy water or other lubricants when installing the seal ring to avoid damaging the rubber ring during installation, and apply grease between the dynamic and static sealing surfaces of the seal to prevent the dynamic and static sealing surfaces of the seal from wearing out before the pump starts.

6、When assembling the floating ring, be careful not to touch the floating ring spring to avoid affecting the floating performance, after the floating ring is assembled, try to press gently to confirm whether it has good floating performance.

7、When installing the mechanical seal, take it gently to avoid damaging the seal, and scrub the seal and the cavity clean when installing it.

8, solid pump mechanical seal, bolt force should be uniform, to avoid uneven force damage to the mechanical seal, for quick release machine seal, after assembly is completed, do not forget to position the piece radially move away from the shaft position fixed.

9、Since the media conveyed by different pumps are different, the media encountered by the machine seal is also different, for example, the temperature of hot water and cool water is different, the pressure of the pump body cavity is different, the corrosiveness of the media is different, the mechanical seal design will be different, and the process will also be different.

10, mechanical seal is one of the effective way of pump sealing, machine seal processing accuracy is relatively high, especially the machine seal dynamic, static ring, if the installation method is not correct or improper use after installation, not only the machine seal can not play a sealing role, but also may damage the mechanical seal components.
