The rotary lobe pump is a self-priming volumetric pump. It is characterised by low speed, small size, light weight, easy disassembly and maintenance, etc. At the same time, it has an extremely strong self-priming capacity and can transport a wide range of liquids.
The working principle of rotary lobe pumps
The two rotors mounted on two shafts are driven by synchronous gears to rotate against each other. A small sealed cavity is formed between the rotor and the pump casing. When the rotor is rotating, the air is removed from the inlet end to form a vacuum and the material is drawn in. The direction of the material conveyed by the lobe pump can be reversed by changing the direction of rotation of the rotor.
Structure of the rotary lobe pump
The rotary lobe pump consists of motor, reduction gear box, coupling and pump body. The pump body consists of bearings, synchronous gears, isolation chamber, pump casing, liner plate, shaft seal, rotor, pump cover, pump shaft, etc.
