1、The difference in working principle

The centrifugal slurry pump is under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge It gets energy and leaves the outer edge of the impeller at high speed to enter the worm-shaped pump casing. When the liquid flows from the center of the impeller to the outer edge, a certain vacuum is formed and the liquid is continuously pressed into the impeller.

lobe pump: The rotor and the pump cavity have basically no gap and create a negative pressure at the inlet when it rotates, and then the medium is directly conveyed to the outlet side.

2. Difference in start-up conditions

The centrifugal slurry pump is checked before start-up. It is necessary to confirm whether the slurry pump pipeline is through, whether the thickener bin is selected, whether the inlet door is open, whether the selected thickener is running, whether the thickener slag discharge door and flushing door are closed, and then check that there is no debris in the slag pool, check the corresponding spoiler of the slurry pump The start-up situation and so on, it can be seen that the process is rather complicated.

The lobe pump can be run directly without the need to divert and fill the pump, so the start-up process is very simple and convenient, which is easy to use and will avoid problems of one kind or another due to the cumbersome start-up process.
